Red Ring of Death Explained

Alot of people once they see the Red Ring of Death on their 360s they go balistic and start the blaming game. So here is a silly but informative and important explanation of things. The deadly and unwanted RROD is the one above in the picture. 3 sections of the ring blinks red. This means that there is something wrong internally. That is bad and that is the one you should call Microsoft and have them bring you the coffin to ship to them to fix.

But there are a large amount of people out there that also ships out that has all sections of the ring blinking red. When this happens to you don't go balistic and relax. This just simply means that your video cable (component or A/V cable) is simply disconnected. Just check your cable to see if there's any disconnection or sort. Worst case scenerio would probably be that your cable is broken and needs replacing.

So see what you really have. Kotaku.com mentions that Microsoft is planning to remove this warning since so many people mistake it for the RROD. They'll probably replace it. A nice blinking green or yellow light would probably be okay.
